L. Marshall, PhD, FRSC
Bill is an Emeritus Professor of Psychology and Psychiatry
at Queen's University in Canada and the Director of Rockwood
Psychological Services which provides treatment for incarcerated
sexual offenders. He has been treating and doing work with
sexual offenders for 36 years and has over 300 publications
including 16 books. Bill was the 1999 recipient of the Santiago
Grisolia Prize for his worldwide contributions to the reduction
of violence and in 2000 he was elected a Fellow of the Royal
Society of Canada. Bill was the President of the Association
for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers from2000 to 2001.

GERIS
SERRAN, Ph.D.
Geris
A. Serran, Ph.D., graduated with a doctorate in Clinical
Psychology at the University of Ottawa in 2003. Geris is
currently employed at Rockwood Psychological Services where
she provides treatment to sexual offenders at Bath Institution,
a medium security Federal Penitentiary. Her research
interests include therapeutic process, coping strategies,
and the treatment of sexual offenders. She has published
several book chapters, journal articles, and presentations
at international conferences in these domains.

Liam
Marshall, M.A.
Liam graduated with a B.A. (Honours) in 2000 and an M.A.
in 2002. He is currently enrolled in the Ph.D. programme
in Psychology at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario,
Canada. Liam is the graduate student representative on the
Queen's University Psychology Department Ethics and Headship
committees. He is also the primary therapist of the Sexual
Offender Treatment Program located at Millhaven Assessment
Unit (a high-security federal penitentiary induction centre).
In addition to his clinical work, Liam is an active researcher
with a number of presentations at international conferences
and publications, including 2 book chapters. Liam's sexual
offender research interests include the influence of temporary
mood states, elderly sexual offenders, attachment issues,
and excessive sexual desire disorder.

M.D. O'Brien, M.A., M.Sc.
Matt completed his BSc (Hons) Psychology at the University of Sunderland in 1993, his MA in Criminology at Keele University in 1994, and his MSc in Applied Criminological Psychology at the University of London
in 1997. He received Chartership from the British Psychological Society as a Forensic Psychologist in 2004. Matt has worked directly with sexual offenders in correctional settings for over 8 years. He was the Head of Psychology at HMP Wandsworth which included responsibility for managing, supervising and running, as lead therapist, the full range of sexual offender programmes as determined by risk. He then transferred to HMPS Headquarters where he was employed to run national training courses, assess the quality of programme delivery, provide clinical advice to Treatment Managers, develop new assessment measures, and design and deliver new programmes. Matt has trained therapists in the delivery of sexual offender programme for the English & Welsh, Scottish and Northern Irish Prison Services. Matt has been an invited speaker at the training of High Court Judges, and an International conference on Combating Paedophile Internet Networks, (COPINE), in Cork, Ireland. Matt has authored and a co-authored a number of journal articles, and has made presentations on a wide range of sexual offender issues. His publications, presentations, and research interests include: Internet offenders, dynamic risk assessment, young offenders, behaviour modification, and the development of healthy sexuality. Matt is currently delivering our Preparatory, Maintenance and Deniers programs in Canadian Federal institutions in addition to supervising the delivery of an Anger-Management program at a Canadian Provincial institution.
